From four generations of fishermen and growing up in the family deckchair business, my love of all things coastal imbues my work, as well as the constant inspiration drawn from dramatic and beautiful Cornwall.
My love of art as a young person took a back seat as I ’got a proper job’ and raised a family. Moving to Cornwall reignited my passion, culminating in a BA Hons (1st) Fine Art Degree at Falmouth University.

So it has often been at the heart of the local community.
I love to share the skills I have picked up, learn from others and enthuse those who may not normally consider themselves ‘artistic’, or perhaps never had the confidence or opportunity to try. The monthly Coffee, Cake, Create sessions are providing the perfect opportunity for this.
The benefits of creativity to well being is well documented (read more here). In an increasingly fragmented society I see art as a vehicle to bring people together to create with their own individual voice, make new friends and build community.
All workshops take place in Old Forge Studio, known locally for its wonky roof. It‘s not posh and printmaking can be messy, so please wear old clothes!
There is no double glazing or insulation, but it does have a log burner to chase away the autumn chills.
Workshops generally take place between April & November.
Bottomless coffee and home made cakes come as standard.
